Military Delays Sending Anti-NK Leaflets for 4th Day

The South Korean military has delayed for the fourth day its plan to send anti-North Korea leaflets across the border.

A military official said Friday that the military delayed the distribution of anti-North Korea leaflets, which was initially set for late Thursday, due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Earlier on Monday, in announcing that it would resume psychological warfare against Pyongyang, Seoul said it would send anti-Pyongyang leaflets over the border, resume FM radio broadcasts aimed at the communist state as well as loudspeaker propaganda broadcasts.

In line with such measures, the military began FM radio broadcasts aimed at the North from Monday afternoon. The broadcasts describe South Korea’s free democracy and advancements as well as comparisons of the systems of the two Koreas.
