It's not over yet, but the world's top soccer officials are already calling the Two-thousand-two World Cup a success. FIFA president Sepp Blatter said he's happy with the first co-hosting of the tournament by South Korea and Japan. Blatter told reporters in Yokohama, Japan Thursday that co-hosting has had a positive influence and also brought together both nations. European soccer chief, UEFA President Lennart Johansson, also agreed ... saying initial mistrust about cohosting has now turned into approval. FIFA awarded the tournament to the two countries in 19-96. At the time, there were concerns that their often-frosty relations and ill-feelings stemming from Japan's colonial occupation of Korea would produce a sub-par tournament.
