S. Korea considers decorations for World Cup squad

The Korean national team has won hearty praise from enthusiastic fans and media both at home and abroad and cash bonuses for their brilliant performance. They're now looking to get another honor: Presidential spokeswoman Park Sun-sook said the government is considering awarding decorations for their achievements. Reports in Seoul said coach Guus Hiddink, the coaching staff and 23 players will receive the "Blue Dragon" medal. It's the most prestigious of five medals bestowed on athletes who shine in international events. The squad lifted South Korea into the World Cup semifinals, the first-ever Asian country to reach the last four.
