Korean Relics on Display at Hermitage Museum

Korean relics are currently on display at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The museum is one of the world's largest and most highly rated.

Some 350 cultural relics showcasing Korea's five-thousand-year history have come to Russia to mark the 20th year of bilateral diplomatic relations between Seoul and Moscow.

On display are Silla-era gold crowns and Goryeo-era Buddha sculptures.

Hermitage Director Mikhail Piotrovsky says most Russians are not aware of Korea’s unique artistic culture.

An average five-thousand people have visited the Korean exhibit at the museum each day.
