Lee: Measures Feared by NK Should be Taken over Cheonan

President Lee Myung-bak says effective measures feared by North Korea should be taken in response to the North’s sinking of the “Cheonan.”

The president said Wednesday at a diplomacy and security advisors meeting at the presidential office that it is important to take a resolute stance against North Korea. Lee said that actions must match words.

Lee also said that Seoul’s diplomatic and security stances must continue to be consistent.

During the meeting, the participants focused on step-by-step response measures to the Cheonan incident and how to connect them with the six-party talks.
