KBS World Radio, the overseas service of the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), has launched its “Let’s Learn Korean with KBS” application that is embedded on Samsung Electronics’ bada platform.

The “Let’s Learn Korean with KBS” application, which KBS World Radio developed with the KBS New Media Business Team, is currently available in five languages --- including English, French, Spanish, Russian and German --- on Samsung Wave phones in Europe.

The materials include information on speaking Korean in a variety of settings, including at airports, hotels, restaurants, hospitals and tourist attractions.

KBS World Radio is hoping the application will contribute significantly to the dissemination of the Korean language abroad.

KBS World launched services last year that gave iPod and iPhone users access to KBS World Radio programs.
