N.K. Airs S.K.-German, S.K.-Turkish World Cup Matches.

North Korea on Monday aired recordings of the June 25 World Cup semifinal match between South Korea and Germany as well as a June 29 match between South Korea and Turkey for third place, a Unification Ministry official said Tuesday. "The (North) Korean Central TV Broadcasting Station televised the June 25 match for 30 r 30 minutes from 10:18 p.m. and the June 29 game for 30 minutes from 10:48 p.m.," the official said. The TV network hailed the success of the South Korean squad as the first Asian team to reach the semifinals as a sign that the era of European and South American domination in soccer is over. The TV station has aired major World Cup games on a tape-delayed basis every day sine June 1, when it showed the opening match between France and Senegal.
