S.Korea Becomes World’s 11th Largest Conference Host

South Korea hosted the eleventh most international conferences in the world last year.

According to the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), South Korea hosted 347 international conventions last year, up 18-point-three percent from 293 in 2008.

The KTO announced that the nation was the third-largest host of international conferences in Asia, following Singapore and Japan.

More than 11-thousand-500 international conferences were held worldwide last year. The U.S. hosted the largest number, at one-thousand-85 conferences. Singapore came in second by hosting 689 conventions while France took third place with 632.
