Action by Churches Together (ACT), an international relief organization, said Thursday that it and Diakonie Emergency Aid (DEA), will contribute approximately 100,000 US dollars to help UNICEF continue producing vitamins and minerals for North Korea. The U.N. agency had earlier made an urgent request due to a breakdown in its vitamins and minerals pipeline. ACT and DEA will join hands with the Canadian Food Grains Bank, due to qa lack of immediate funds, to supply the combination of vitamins and minerals needed for the production of biscuits and corn soy milk needed for malnourished children and lactating and pregnant women.
