Unification Minister Hyun In-taek says the South Korean government will maintain full operation of the Gaeseong Industrial Park as long as North Korea does not preemptively inflict harm.

Speaking at a parliamentary Q&A session on Wednesday, Hyun said that it is important that North Korea apologize for sinking the naval vessel, “Cheonan,” that those responsible are punished and that the North pledges to prevent recurrences for the sake of inter-Korean peace. The minister added that the government would make efforts to realize such measures.
