EE Times, an IT news provider, reported Sunday that US Micron Technology chairman Steve Appleton hinted at the possibility of renegotiate for taking over the South Korean Hynix semiconductor manufacturer. Chairman Appleton said in an interview with the EE Times that he still believes that Micron will be able to resume talks with Hynix and also will overcome the resistance of the Hynix labor union. Appleton's remarks draws attention timed with the new efforts made by the Hynix creditors who are considering a new method including reselling of its overseas assets, which might have been regarded as a positive sign by the Micron chairman.
