A Norwegian cultural and arts venue will be opened soon at Samgakji Station in central Seoul.

The Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation, which operates subway lines five to eight, says it signed an agreement on the project with the Norwegian Embassy in Seoul.

Art works showcasing the nature, culture and architecture of the northern European country will be placed on the ceilings and walls inside Samgakji Station.

Displays themed on the Korean War and Nobel Peace Prize laureates will decorate the hallway toward the exit leading to the war memorial near the station.
