S.Korea Approves W790 Mln in Aid Shipments to NK

The Unification Ministry says it has approved the shipment of goods that will be used to support vulnerable people in North Korea, including infants.

The shipment is comprised of flour from a group that helps provide aid to North Korea as well as flour and infant formula from another humanitarian aid group. The total value of the shipment is around 790 million won.

This makes eleven shipments of humanitarian aid for North Korea that Seoul has approved since May 24th, when economic sanctions on the communist state were announced in retaliation for the sinking of the “Cheonan.”
