A smartphone application that enables listeners to tune in to seven KBS radio channels has been a popular download since it launched on July first.

The radio application, R-2, which can be run by iPhones and smartphones running the Android operating system, has been downloaded 150-thousand times.

The R-2 application provides streaming audio access to 17 channels from nine broadcasting stations including seven KBS radio channels.

The application also allows users to access programming guides and lists of songs played. Users can also send requests and comments to radio shows through the application.
