North Korea is denying to other countries that it played a role in the sinking of the South Korean warship, the “Cheonan.” It has, however, reportedly produced and distributed to its civilians and military a propaganda poster that brings to mind the destruction of the Cheonan.
Radio Free Asia published a picture of the poster, which was reportedly taken by a Chinese businessman who had a recent business trip to North Korea.
The poster depicts a fist bludgeoning a ship in half and a slogan saying, any attackers would be subdued in one blow.
Radio Free Asia says the ship in the poster is not a destroyer or a frigate, but rather, clearly a patrol ship like the Cheonan.
Meanwhile, the Chinese businessman who photographed the poster heard North Korean trading officers say repeatedly that the South’s accusation that North Korea sank the Cheonan is a conspiracy. He added that the poster appeared to contradict those remarks.
