Industry sources said Thursday the Japanese tourists are once again flocking to Korea after the completion of the World Cup. Nearly 26,000 Japanese visited Korea in the week ending July 15, up 16 percent from a week earlier, according to the nation's 20 leading tourism agencies. Those travel agencies, such as Daihan Tran Travel Service and Lotte Tour, reported receiving applications from more than 1,000 Japanese tourists each between June 9-15. Prior to the World Cup, however, the total weekly requests from Japanese travel agencies was less than 10,000. Hotels are also hopping with tourists from Japan.
