The Foreign Ministry’s Korea Foundation has opened workshops to provide accurate information on Korean history and culture to middle and high school teachers from China, Russia and Japan.

The foundation said Monday that 24 Russian teachers will attend the workshop at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies from Monday through August eighth, while some 30 Chinese educators will hold the workshop in Fudan University in Shanghai through Thursday.

About 20 Japanese teachers also launched the four-day workshop at Kyushu University.

Since 1992, about two-thousand educators from some 40 countries have participated in the workshop organized by the foundation.

Teachers from the U.S. already attended the program this year, while the workshops for teachers from Australia and New Zealand are already under way. Workshops for teachers from Thailand, Indonesia and Germany are also scheduled.
