NK to Boost Nuke Deterrence in Advanced Way

North Korea says it will bolster its nuclear deterrence in a more advanced way to cope with what it calls the increasing nuclear threat posed by the U.S.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency says the Minister of People’s Armed Forces Kim Yong-chun made the remark during a rally in Pyongyang to mark the 57th anniversary of the Korean War armistice.

Kim said that a war can break out at any time on the Korean Peninsula because the U.S. and its allies are plotting confrontation and instigating a new war.

He said the North's bolstering of nuclear deterrence is its legitimate sovereign right and a way for its revolutionary forces to mercilessly counteract the enemy.
