'NK Sold Missiles to Afghan Insurgents in 2005'

An uncorroborated report released by Wikileaks shows that North Korea sold ground-to-air missiles to Afghan insurgents in 2005.

The Washington Post quoted the U.S. intelligence report released by Wikileaks on Sunday as saying that “on November 19th 2005, Hezb-Islami party leader, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, and Osama Bin Laden's financial advisor, Dr. Amin, both flew to North Korea departing from Iran."

Wikileaks is a Web site that publishes and comments on leaked documents that suggest government and corporate misconduct.

The Wikileaks report added that “while in North Korea, the two confirmed a deal with the North Korean government for remote controlled rockets for use against American and coalition aircraft."

The report, whose origin could not be determined from the version published on the Wikileaks site, said the shipment was expected to be delivered shortly after the start of 2006.
