The Korean National Red Cross (KNRC) said Wednesday that it will donate $12,448 dollars to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) so the money could go to Sri Lankans who suffer from years of drought. The KNRC said that about 400,000 people in southern Sri Lanka fell vell victims to the drought which last for two and a half years, noting that most of them take less than one third of the nutrition they need every day. The IFRC recently called for national Red Cross societies across the world to donate about 2 billion won for the Sri Lankans.
