2002 habitat for humanity project due to start next month

Organizers said Thursday some 1,200 volunteers will build 54 houses in four cities across the country next month in a Habitat for Humanity project aimed at providing homes for underprivileged families. Habitat for Humanity Korea said dubbed "Korea Blitz Build 2002," the project will be carried out from Aug. 4-10 in Daegu, Cheonan , Taebaek and Paju. In addition, college students from South Korea and Japan will hold a 12-day "bikeathon" in a campaign to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity projects.
