Survey: Lee Oi-Soo Picked as Top S.Korean Writer

Novelist Lee Oi-soo has been picked by netizens as the top writer in South Korea.

Online bookstore Yes 24 held an online vote for 20 days last month in which Lee received around 13-thousand of some 43-thousand votes cast by netizens for the title of the nation's top writer. Lee is the author of "Haak Haak" and "Abulryu Sibulryu."

Shin Kyung-suk came in second in the poll, followed by Ko Un, Kim Hoon and Lee Moon-yeol.

Meanwhile, Kim Young-ha, who recently released a new novel, ranked first in the category of "top young Korean writer.”
