UNC, NK to Hold 4th Colonel-level Talks Tuesday

The United Nations Command (UNC) and North Korea will hold a fourth working-level meeting on Tuesday at the truce village of Panmunjeom to discuss the sinking of the “Cheonan.”

The UNC said in a news release that the colonel-level talks will be held at 10 a.m.

The two sides have met three times since June 25th but have failed to narrow differences over the schedules and agenda for general-level talks.

In the third round of talks on July 30th, the UNC proposed forming a joint evaluation team on the Cheonan case, while the North sought to form an independent group of inspectors to look into the incident.
