KBS Launches iPhone App 'Korean Cuisine'

Traditional Korean dishes are being introduced to people around the world through the iPhone, Apple's smartphone.

KBS World Radio, the overseas service of the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), has developed an application called "Korean Cuisine" for the iPhone, launching the service from August sixth.

The application provides in eleven languages details of 52 Korean dishes, such as bulgogi, bibimbap and a soybean paste known as deonjang. With the application, iPhone users can share the information with friends through e-mails or the social networking service Twitter.

This application is a mobile version of KBS World Radio's weekly program "Korean Cuisine."

Korean Cuisine, the second iPhone application after "KBS World Radio," is expected to promote and contribute to the globalization of Korean food.
