The city of Incheon plans to pursue until the end of the year projects to help new North Korean mothers and their babies.

Incheon Metropolitan City said it signed an accord with the Korea Peace Foundation on the provision of such assistance.

As part of the accord, Incheon will use 100 million won and the peace organization 70 million won to provide milk, powdered milk and winter clothes to the women and infants at Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.

Last month, Incheon also signed an accord with the Korean Sharing Movement civic group to provide bread and soy milk to 15-hundred preschoolers in Onseong County, North Hamgyeong Province, until the end of the year.
