A Korean-American woman said Sunday she plans to open a museum on the Korean national dish of kimchi in Prince George's County, Maryland State, by May 2004. Helen Kim, 53, said she has completed her payment for a site of the first kimchi museum in the United States and she will hold a presentation August 3rd with officials of the state on the construction of the museum. Kimchi is a vegetable pickle seasoned with garlic, red pepper and ginger. She said she expects the construction of the museum will start next month. Kim, who came to the U.S. with her husband Kim Young 19 years ago, has made fortunes by operating a builder and a cafe.
