The National Police Agency (NPA) said Sunday the number of holidaymakers visiting summer resorts between this month and next month is expected to top 23 million. The agency also tallied the number of summer visitors last year at 22.52 million, up 7.1 percent from the previous year. With a view to cracking down on various unlawful acts and keeping order at summer resorts, the NPA is running nine temporary police stations and 154 special police boxes in major bathing beaches, riverside resorts and valleys nationwide.
