A bus carrying a group of visually impaired South Korean students and their sponsors was overturned in China around 5 p.m. Sunday, local time.

The group of 39 was returning from a tour of Mount Baekdu when one of their two buses flipped, killing a 57-year-old sponsor known by the surname "Go." Six were also injured.

The bus was heading to a lodge after the group visited the mountain’s peak when it reportedly lost control on a wet road while attempting to avoid a car heading its way.
