Seoul Mulls NK Aid via Int'l Organizations

The Unification Ministry says it is reviewing providing disaster relief for North Korea through international agencies or civic organizations.

A ministry official said Thursday in Seoul that although the government is considering such a move, it will not provide direct aid to the North, which is suffering from severe flooding.

The official said that rice will not be included in any support Seoul might provide through the international agencies or civic groups.
