Buddhist Order to Send Disaster Relief Supplies to NK

The Jogye Order of Buddhism has launched a fundraising campaign with the target of delivering emergency flood relief to North Korea.

The order said Wednesday that it plans to send the aid to the North via the Yellow Sea on Saturday of next week.

The order is running fundraising campaigns around the nation and started collecting donations at three of its temples on Wednesday.

The Jogye Order is hoping to send some 50 million won worth of items to the North, including blankets and instant noodles.
