One-third of Reunion Applicants Have Died

Among the inter-Korean family reunion applicants, 34 percent have already died.

The Unification Ministry says that of 128-thousand registered applicants, as many as 44-thousand, or 34-point-seven percent, have died as of July 31st.

Eighteen-hundred died this year alone.

Of 83-thousand surviving applicants, 77 percent are over the age of 70.
