1,014 S Koreans to participate in Busan Asian Games

The Korea Olympic Committee (KOC) said Wednesday South Korea will dispatch the largest-ever delegation to the Busan Asian Games this coming fall. KOC decided at its general meeting to send 1,014 delegates (both athletes and officials) to the Asian Games from Sep. 29th to Oct. 14th With 239 officials, the size of the delegation is 279 more than 724 delegates at the 1994 Hiroshima Asian Games. A total of 775 South Korean players will compete for medals in 37 out of 38 sports except Kabaddi, a ball game originating in India.
