This year’s “Hi Seoul Festival” will open on Saturday for a ten-day run.

Cohosted by the Seoul City government and the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, the Hi Seoul Festival will feature a wide variety of free cultural and art programs across the South Korean capital.

Thirty-one domestic organizations and some 70 international organizations from 12 countries --- including France, Australia and Spain --- will host some 200 performances during the festival.

A charity event to sell commemorative shirts designed by South Korean pop artist Nancy Lang will be held in Yeouido Park near the Han River. All proceeds from the event will go to helping increase opportunities for children from low-income families to have experiences related to art and culture.
