North Korea has proposed working-level inter-Korean talks on the resumption of South Korean tours to the North's scenic Mount Geumgang resort.
In a message, Pyongyang proposed the talks be held October 15th in the North Korean border city of Gaeseong. The agenda will be the tours and South Korean assets around the Mount Geumgang area seized by the North.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency also says Pyongyang will send three delegates to the meeting, including the chairman of the Guidance Bureau for Comprehensive Development of Scenic Spots.
A Unification Ministry in Seoul says the ministry received the message from the Gaeseong Industrial Complex management committee and will discuss with related authorities whether to accept the proposal.
The two Koreas have recently held three Red Cross working-level meetings, in which Pyongyang consistently asked for the tours' resumption. Both sides Saturday agreed to hold reunions of separated inter-Korean families with no conditions.
