NK Expected to Hold Military Drill in East Sea

North Korea is reportedly preparing to hold a massive military drill off the coast of Wonsan in the East Sea.

The Defense Ministry in Seoul said Tuesday that North Korea has been making preparations for a large-scale military drill since September 16th.

The exercise will involve the Army, Navy and Air Force of North Korea, with the participation of warships, fighter jets and artillery. North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is expected to inspect the military exercise.

The ministry is predicting that the drill will take place around October tenth, which is the 65th anniversary of the foundation of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party.

The North has also mobilized military equipment and 15-thousand soldiers for a street parade to mark the founding day of the party.
