NK's Heir Apparent Accompanies Father to Military Drill

North Korea’s Korean Central Television says North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s third son and heir apparent, Kim Jong-un, recently accompanied his father to a drill conducted by the Korean People’s Army.

The report said Tuesday that the North Korean leader attended the military exercise that was conducted around the time the North marked the 65th anniversary of the founding of its ruling party. The report added that Kim Jong-un accompanied his father to the exercise.

The report also disclosed a photograph of the father and son taken at the event.

The revealed photo also showed Ri Yong-ho, vice chairman of the party’s Central Military Commission, and Kim Kyung-hui, the sister of the reclusive leader.
