A design exchange event between South Korea and Italy will open at the Dongdaemun Culture and History Park in Seoul on Saturday.

Jointly organized by the Seoul Design Foundation and the Italian Embassy in South Korea, the event will run through the end of the year.

The design exchange was organized to commemorate Seoul’s designation as the 2010 World Design Capital.
It will include the exchange of tableware designs between the two countries and lectures on styles of food and table settings. The lectures will be held four times until the end of the year.
