NYT Gives Favorable Review to KBS Symphony Orchestra

The New York Times has given a favorable review to a performance by the KBS Symphony Orchestra that was held on Tuesday at Carnegie Hall in New York.

The paper said the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the house ensemble of the Korean Broadcasting System in Seoul, demonstrated a sensibly paced, keenly detailed account of Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique.”

It said that apart from a few instances of untidy ensemble work, the performance was an altogether respectable showing for the orchestra that was conducted by Shinik Hahm.

The KBS Symphony Orchestra will also perform at the United Nations on Saturday afternoon, Korean time.
