President Kim expresses condolences to dead sailor

President Kim Dae-jung on Saturday expressed condolences to the family of a sailor who went missing in a sea battle with North Korea in June, as his body was found Friday. The body of Chief Petty Officer Han Sang-guk, 27, was raised from the a sunken patrol boat Friday, 41 days after he was listed missing in the June 29 skirmish with North Korea. Han was among the five South Korean sailors killed in the battle which also left 19 others wounded. Kim expressed condolences on behalf of the people, to families of those who sacrificed their lives in the skirmish.
