'World Koreans Festival 2002' to kick off next month

The National Council of Sports for All announced Tuesday, that the "World Koreans' Festival 2002" will be held Sept. 13-19. The festival for Koreans from all around the world will be held in Seoul, Kyeonggi Province, Kyeongju and North Kyeongsang Province, with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The festival will feature a fun-walk, events related to Korean folk culture, a tour to historical sites including Kyongbok Palace, the War Memorial of Korea, Independence Hall, and a visit to Sangam World Cup Stadium. Some 600 overseas Koreans over the age of 16 are expected to participate in the festival.
