2nd Inter-Korean Reunion Session Opens at Geumgang

The second of two sessions of inter-Korean family reunions for some 297 long-lost relatives on both sides of the inter-Korean border was held Wednesday at the Mount Geumgang resort in North Korea.

On Wednesday, a 72-year-old South Korean met with the children of his older brother, Seo Pil-hwan, a deceased former South Korean who had been taken prisoner of war by the North some 60 years ago.

The families will attend a reunion dinner hosted by North Korea on Wednesday evening.

As with the first round of reunions that wrapped up on Monday, the second session of reunions will last three days.
