Auto Sales Increase by 32% in 2010

Brisk exports of automobiles this year has already driven the number of units sold from January to October 2010 past the numbers posted from all of last year.

In addition, sales during the first ten months of 2010 have increased by 32-percent compared with the same period in 2009.

The Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association attributed the rise in exports to an overall increase in demand in the U.S. and emerging nations, more new model launches and a stronger price competitiveness due to the strengthening Yen.

Meanwhile, domestic sales by South Korean automakers in October hit a record monthly high this year.
