Major foreign news agencies have given positive coverage to the ministerial talks between South and North Korea. The Associated Press said the agreement to hold military talks is expected to spur the relinking of cross-border railways. A-F-P called the ten-point agreement produced at the talks the most significant progress since the June Two-thousand summit talks between the leaders of South and North Korea. Japan's Kyodo News Agency commented the inter-Korean cabinet level talks have opened the way for completing cross-border rail and road links and a range of other economic and reconciliation projects.
