The second round of two inter-Korean family reunions ended on Friday at North Korea’s Mount Geumgang resort.

The families held an hour-long farewell gathering at the Mount Geumgang Hotel on Friday morning.

The participants said their tearful farewells before the family members from the South Korean sided boarded seven buses in the early afternoon to return to the South.

During the two rounds of three-day family reunions, a total of 830 family members separated by the Korean War met with their long-lost kin.

The South Korean Red Cross Society plans to hold a second round of discussions on the regularization of the reunions on November 25th.
