Conglomerate Executives Getting Younger

A recent survey has found that major conglomerates’ executives are getting younger in South Korea.

According to a survey conducted by Chaebul.com, on the top 100 South Korean companies excluding financial institutions, executives in their 40s had increased significantly as of late June this year. This pushed down the average age of executives from 52-point-three in 2009 to 50-point-nine in 2010.

Chaebul.com is a site providing information on family-owned conglomerates in South Korea.

The survey also noted that the executives in their 40s and 30s this year account for more than half of all company executives for the first time in Korean corporate history.
