Lotte World 2 Gains Final Approval

The construction of the second Lotte World amusement park gained final approval on Thursday.

The Lotte World Two skyscraper was first approved for construction in 1998. A detailed plan was set out in 2005 to build the high-rise structure. Assessments on the architectural, traffic and environmental impact of the structure have all been concluded.

Lotte this past September applied for a permit to build a 123-story building with six underground floors. The project has been approved by related authorities.

Lotte World Two aims to attract two-point-eight million visitors a year. It's expected to create 20-thousand permanent jobs. The entire theme park is expected to open in 2015.
