Seoul Lays out Condition for Tour Talks with NK

The government has notified North Korea that if it wants to hold talks to discuss resuming tours to the North’s Mount Geumgang resort, Pyongyang must first withdraw its freezing of South Korean properties at the resort.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said it issued the notification to the North via the Gaeseong Industrial District Management Committee on Wednesday.

The North had earlier proposed that the two Koreas hold talks in Gaeseong on Friday to seek ways to resume the tours to Mount Geumgang.
