Red Cross Talks to be Held in S.Korea

Inter-Korean Red Cross talks will be held on Thursday at the South Korean Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) building in Munsan near the border.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said that in a notice sent to the South's Red Cross on Friday, the North's Red Cross agreed to South Korea’s proposal to hold the talks in Munsan.

The dialogue scheduled for next Thursday would mark the first time for North Korean delegates to cross the border into South Korea for such talks.

A ministry official said that the last inter-Korean meeting held in the South was the inaugural meeting of an inter-Korean economic cooperation committee in December 2007 in Seoul.
