The Unification Ministry and the National Red Cross have sent North Korea a list of the South Korean delegates who will attend the inter-Korean Red Cross talks scheduled for Thursday.
The three-member delegation, including Red Cross Secretary General Kim Yong-hyeon, is comprised of the same officials who discussed family reunions with North Korea last month.
The North on Monday sent South Korea its delegation roster of 18 people including Red Cross representatives, government officials in charge of Mount Geumgang tours, and reporters.
The Thursday talks will be held at South Korea's border customs office in Munsan. It will be the first time for inter-Korean Red Cross talks to be held in the South since the start of the Lee Myung-bak administration.
The meeting’s participants are expected to discuss Seoul's proposal for a regularization of inter-Korean family reunions and Pyongyang's request for large-scale humanitarian aid, including rice and fertilizer.
