A celebration marking 365 days before Departure of the 2003 Daegu Summer Universiade was held in Daegu city, North Kyongsang Province Wednesday, hosted by the city and the Organizing committee of the Universiade. City officials launched comprehensive publicity campaign as part of the celebrations and distributed stickers and other advertisement materials calling for the people's active participation. The 22nd Summer Universiade in Daegu is a sports event which is expected to draw 11,000 university athletes and officials from 170 countries across the world.
